A comprehensive UX discovery phase leading a full website redesign.
Overview
Studio Into is a specialist global UX research company helping multinational organisations conduct user research across multiple countries. Revo was approached to fully redesign their website — transforming both the visual identity and functionality to better represent the quality of their work and improve online traction. Due to the scale of the project, a dedicated discovery phase was introduced before any design work began. I led this phase end to end, handling feedback and ensuring the project was clearly defined before moving forward.

The Challenge
While competitor research and project scoping is a standard part of my process, this discovery was at a different level of depth and formality. The goal was to produce a comprehensive document that gave the client complete clarity on the project scope, structure and direction before a single design decision was made. This meant going beyond surface level research and producing a fully annotated set of UX wireframes, a detailed sitemap and a mapped user journey — all presented back to the client for sign off.
The Solution
The discovery document covered a full sitemap including every page from the homepage through to the footer, giving a clear picture of the site architecture. A series of UX wireframes were produced to communicate content structure across all pages — not final designs, but a considered framework showing what content sits where and how it could be organised. Each wireframe was accompanied by detailed annotations to provide context. A user journey was also developed to map how different types of users would move through the site, which helped inform both the structure and the UX decisions that followed. Throughout the process I worked closely with the client, presenting findings, gathering input and refining the work based on their feedback.
The Result
The discovery phase has been completed and signed off, with the project now awaiting confirmation to move into the full design phase — which I will be leading. The document gave Studio Into a clear and transparent view of the project from the outset, and the process of leading it end to end strengthened my UX thinking.
